As Paint Process Engineer, you will co-ordinate paint engineering activities for all Paint Operation requirements to include, but not restricted to, current model issues, quality concerns and new initiatives and all engineering aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment.

You will lead a team of engineers to deliver Paint Operation goals and will act as representative for Paint Production manager as required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following :-

- Leading a team of engineers to deliver all day to day engineering requirements including but not restricted to process sheets, process compliance, Tooling development and modification, SPC, paint application manual and automation, problem solving, cost down activities, dirt reduction
- Projects - Take on full responsibility for all Manufacturing Engineering functions including shop floor support. Also may include: Design investigation, trial builds, devise process and initial build sequence, identification of tooling and aids, support on line training, carry out issue identification and resolution.
- Technical support - Provide advice/information to other areas regarding production, e.g. Sales Marketing - for Paint Manufacturing Feasibility, Colour introduction. Body repair/paint strategies engineering, to identify build sequence and potential conflicts with design changes.
- Providing cover and representation for the Paint Production Manager with specific responsibility for Paint repair area.

The candidate will need to be degree qualified with relevant experience of Paint shop process. Other Suitable qualifications together with experience may be considered.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft office applications, data analysis, report writing. Knowledge in the use of paint measurement tools in terms of pelt wavescan, ellcometer, RA , etc would be advantageous.
