This leading company design, develop, deliver and support high-performance vehicle suspension systems worldwide for the life of the vehicle are now looking for a Contracts Engineer - Compliance and Security to manage and control the receipt of Customer Orders into the organisation and act as the main conduit for disseminating contractual requirements to all functions within the organisation.

As the Contracts Engineer you will manage all aspects of the import and export Control process including the compilation of all documentation associated with the import and export of components, finished goods and customer returned equipment.

Ensure that the company procedures comply with all Customs and Excise requirements associated with the Import and Export of Military Goods and the transfer of technical information to and from the U.K. and act as the Company Security Controller with responsibility for document control, contract security, obtaining approval for international visits (where required) and personnel vetting.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager. (for security issues reporting relationship is to Board Level via MD)

The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate discipline.
Must have extensive knowledge of the processes associated with the Import and Export of defence related components and finished goods.
Ability to manage own workload and high level of self motivation coupled with excellent communication skills- verbal and written.
A team player with the ability to work on own initiative and work to and meet demanding deadlines.

Ideally you will also have knowledge of MOD Commercial and procurement aspects.
