Part of a Fortune 500 company and the world`s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. Based in County Durham they are the worldwide source for heavy duty Trucks.

We are looking for a Snr level Design Engineer with a proven track record using Pro E or NX in modelling stresses and forces applied to automotive vehicles. Significant knowledge of machine structures is required as is tolerances and stress, FEA analysis is a pre requisite (Nastran).

The principal function of the role is to conceive and execute technical analysis of articulated truck structures, systems and fabrication. The results are then developed and presented collaborating with the design and test teams.

The role will suit a problem solving type of individual who has a meticulous approach to calculations and with the ability to educate other team members in the analysed results.

A permanent role with a very good salary and benefits also, the location is commutable from Chester-le-Street, Durham, Gateshead, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Newcastle upon Tyne, Peterlee, Seaham, Sunderland and Washington.
