Our client is a first tier automotive company who are seeking to recruit a Buyer within Purchasing Production based in Shrewsbury on a contract basis.

You will be responsible for the total Supplier Relationship Management, the provision of a cost effective purchasing service for the production materials, brought for parts and production services throughout the UK. In this role, you will provide purchasing involvement at all stages of NPI, serial supply and EOL.

Main duties of the role include:
* Maintain and enhance TAC reduction planning and tracking systems.
* Develop, establish and maintain SRM processes for quality, cost and delivery.
* Effective proactive liaison with other departments.

Applicants are required to have the following characteristics and experience:
* Commercial and business financial acumen.
* The ability to interpret and challenge suppliers cost (QAF"s).
* Project Management
* Experience of operating in a MRP environment, use of Mfg Pro is preferred.
* Attainment of CIPS Graduate Diploma or educated to degree level.
