An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineering graduate to work as a Product Compliance Engineer with this well established and very well respected organisation - a leading provider of help, advice, training, product assessment and testing regarding CE marking and product compliance legislation. This stimulating and challenging role involves assisting clients (ranging from innovative one-time inventors to world renowned organisations) with meeting their legal obligations, with a particular focus on the EU Machinery Directive, by assessing their machinery and the associated documentation. A customer facing and technical role, you will be required to quickly obtain a good understanding of an extensive and ever-changing range of machines, to enable you to assess their safety and function, ultimately enabling the machinery to be placed on the EU market.

After a period of on-the-job training, your role as a Product Compliance Engineer will involve you being an integral part of the technical team, assessing machinery, compiling Technical Files, and helping to co-ordinate projects by liaising with clients, giving you the opportunity to work on an unrivalled range of innovative products and machines. As your knowledge and expertise grows you will also be required to provide consultancy services to commercial clients.

The ideal candidate MUST HAVE,
A RECENT degree in a MECHANICAL ENGINEERING discipline,
A desire to develop skills in regards to CE marking and product compliance.

No experience of CE marking or product compliance/safety is necessary, but would be beneficial. A good working knowledge of MS Office and the Internet is essential. Must have excellent written and spoken English. Own transport would be advantageous due to the requirements for work at client's premises across the UK. This is a full time position.
