You will be responsible for programming production machines that will
cut ferrous, nonferrous and exotic al alloys. 
You will select CNC machining processes and tooling as well as speeds

responsible for designing some jigs and fixtures.

The role is an continuous contract, probably signed of in 3
month intervals and is all day shift.  A
standard day is 8.5 hrs long (42.5hr week)

What we’re looking for:

Essential

• Qualified to a minimum of HNC level (may
  consider ONC with longer experience) but able to demonstrate extensive (8 years
  or greater) experience on 5-axis programming for high precision parts (aerospace,
  motorsport, defence, race, possibly  automotive).  Any CAD/CAM system is acceptable as training
  will be given to the right candidate
• Able to read a manufacturing drawing and propose
  the most efficient way of machining it; identify complex features and arrive at
  an operation sequence (process planning)
• Experience of designing simple jigs and fixtures
  on CAD (any 3D system)
• Own transport

Desirable:

• Experience in motorsport or aerospace
• Recent usage on Openmind Hypermill

Position Description:
Defining customer level functions and use cases for stability control systems and their associated software definition including interface and communication requirements.

Skills Required:
-The definition of stability control functions for implementation on new vehicle projects.
-To develop functional requirements to deliver the required control functions.
-To create customer based use cases to explain how the function should operate.
-To cascade and agree these functions, functional requirements and use cases to the supplier in order to ensure a robust first application.

Skills Preferred:
IBM Rational DOORS, Microsoft office, CAN analysis.

Experience Required:

This role is part of an exciting new expansion of the Electric Vehicles Division to meet increasing demands with the launch of future models within the Hybrid Vehicles division

Your role will be to :

- Develop the Hybrid Vehicle Electrical Distribution System including charging cable for new Electrical Vehicles (xEV).
- Key tasks for the team include: - programme delivery and supplier management
- Requirements definition, including capturing and agreeing cascaded requirements from the industry
- Work with the tier 1 supplier partner in the development and validation of the xEV HV EDS according to programme technical, cost and timing targets
- Complete the quality deliverables, robustness checklist and derive critical design and manufacturing actions from them
- Complete the hazard analysis and support the functional safety analysis
- ork with tier 1 harness supplier to develop the HV EDS package that balances the cost and vehicle attributes targets.
- Support the report out project status to project leaders and senior managements at key milestones."
Skills Required:

- Proven track record of developing EDS systems and/or components
- Strong appreciation of vehicle systems and architectures.
- Experience in component engineering for automotive application with EDS background
- Demonstrable ability to resolve technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.

To support GTDS projects within Electrical Engineering specifically supporting the future software infrastructure for the vehicle. This will involve:
- Reviewing standards to develop the appropriate configurations for implementations of DoIP.
- Building demonstrations to verify key features of the DoIP.
- Liaising with various suppliers and key stakeholders of the project in order to develop requirements. The GTDS process will also require working with the IP Department, Purchasing and Manufacturing/Service in order to ensure that all GTDS project requirements are fulfilled.

Skills Required:
Working Knowledge of Ethernet (IEEE802.3) including physical layer. Working knowledge of AutoSAR. Good communication skills, written and oral. Good organisational and project management skills. Familiarity with different communication network technologies and architectures.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of ISO 13400. Knowledge of Automotive diagnostics.

Experience Required:
Experience of working with Ethernet project management experience, preferably with knowledge and understanding of GTDS development processes. Formal report writing.

A HIL Support Engineer with is required to work within Electrical Engineering on contract for our Client, an OEM specialising in luxury and SUV/Off road vehicles.

The position will be based in the West Midlands.

Positions description:
Deploy model-based product engineering across Electrical Engineering and other CoCs. Track deliverables and review projects against MBPE timings. The engineer will also be responsible to maintain tracking of all verification and validation activities using the HIL test rig and develop test plans to support all Electrical Engineering function areas.

Experience / education required:
-Familiar with dSPACE simulators and automated testing.
-Competent with dSPACE ControlDesk and Test Automation (MXvDEV).
-Familiar with MATLAB, SIMULINK and STATEFLOW.
-Competent with Vector and Interpid test tools.
-Able to understand hardware and software specification of electrical control units.
-Familiar with high level vehicle functionality including hybrids.
-In particular the candidate require to be familiar with body features such as Locking, Start Authorisation, Lighting and Power Train features such as engine cranking, transmission and driveline drive cycles.
