Delphi Diesel Systems are a World leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment, with many years of experience in the Fuel Injection Market. They are now looking to recruit a Design - Development Engineer to optimise the design and refine performance of brand new Emissions technology.
The Design Development Engineer will be responsible for:
The design and performance optimization of a new emissions reducing doser, with the main focus on the nozzle.
Preparation of design specifications; drawings and written specifications. Facilitate fast and accurate two-way communication with development labs and suppliers / process engineers to assure robust design and flawless launch objectives.
Planning and execution of performance optimisation tests determine design improvements to develop performance.
Apply ICIM methods using DOE s, 6 Sigma, Green Y and other statistical tools to achieve design robustness. (Training will be provided to fill current gaps in experience level).
Ideally the successful applicant will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent Aeronautical Engineering/ Automotive Engineering) with design/development experience within an automotive environment.

Fully conversant with engineering drawing practices, including geometric tolerancing.
Be able to understand and be able to apply physics to the design.
Must be innovative and visionary in developing design options. Solid Works experience.

Must be willing to travel for training.
