Our client is a world leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial passenger aircraft and business jets, as well as, a wide range of cabin interior design, reconfiguration and certification services, including the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighter use.
To proactively manage all material suppliers in a timely manner to meet requirements and to ensure that all customer requirements (internal and external) are met.
Working within the SAO Aftermarket Purchasing team to procure parts to customer requirements within set timescales.
Liaising with other departments in the business to interpret/understand customer needs.
Enforce LTA and SLA contracts to ensure continuation of supply in the event of under-performing suppliers.
Participate in cross-disciplinary or cross site project teams to ensure that all supply requirements are considered for all projects.
Drafting and up-dating departmental/group procedures, adopting a flexible continuous approach.
Monitoring and reporting supplier performance to compliment operational objectives on cost, quality, delivery and inventory.
Provide guidance, support and assist with training for buyers as required.
Using the MRP system to understand demand and place purchase orders.
Maintain the information in the MRP system to ensure that (amongst others) supplier information, leadtimes, pricing and safety stock levels are correct.
The professional acquisition of parts in a timely manner at a price equal to or less than the account Standard cost
