Delphi Diesel are a World leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment. They are now looking to recruit Development Engineers to support the design, testing, preparation of tests and the analysis and presentation of results associated with the development of a new common rail diesel fuel pump for the automotive market.
The Development Engineers will be responsible for the development of components for a new common rail high pressure pump. Developing full proof solutions to ensure that the pumps, and its components properties, are in line with the final application requirement.
Working with a multi functional team to ensure the solution meets the technical specification, the customer requirements and to be compatible with manufacturing and purchasing standards.
Statistical tools and methodologies such as 6 Sigma, Green Y, Red X and DOE will be applied during the development of the product. You will also participate in Program Project reviews and design reviews as required.
The successful candidates will hold Engineering degrees in mechanical engineering or equivalent and ideally will have proven experience in development engineering.
Candidates with previous exposure, either pre or post graduate, to Powertrain related projects will also be considered.
You will have the ability to travel to manufacturing sites (France, Spain, and Romania).
