Based on a very attractive University campus in Coventry, this Centre of Excellence in the development of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Hybrid Powertrains has an opportunity for a talented Principal Durability and Structural Engineer to lead whole vehicle durability CAE analysis. Durability CAE Principal Engineer working on vehicle programs within the structural and safety CAE team. The job includes the following responsibilities:
Lead the durability CAE competency and implement industry best practice tools and techniques Support the programme teams in system specification for durability requirements Complete durability analyses of body structures using appropriate CAE tools; Nastran, Optistruct, LS-Dyna, Abaqus, nCode Complete whole vehicle and sub-system durability analysis where required Critique and appraise current processes Provide secondary support for crash and NVH analysis team The ideal candidate would be an experienced Durability analyst with secondary competencies in Crash and NVH analysis. Degree qualified or similar qualification Minimum of 5 years automotive experience essential Demonstrate depth of knowledge in relevant technical specialty Already chartered or working towards chartered status Evidence of achieving results through effective leadership Able to translate business plan into individual objectives for staff Must be able to spend up to 1 week per month in IndiaYour CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
