Principal Engineer - Interior Trim Engineer

£24 - 30 per hour + Contract Rates Apply
Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
- Lead engineering change activities on lower trim systems on P786 project.
- Completion of DFMEA, DVP and AQP plans for lower trim.
Engineering release of data (3D/2D).
- Support design/project/supplier reviews when necessary.
- Provide interior trim support during build phases and launch.
- Work with launch engineering developing containment fixes for issues found in build and managing the release of permanent fixes.
- Degree qualified or similar qualification.
- Strong numeracy and literacy.
- A minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential.
- Good logical reasoning.
- Capable of leading a project element with support from more senior staff when necessary.
Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service.
- Demonstrate depth of knowledge in a relevant technical speciality.
- Some will already be chartered or working towards chartered status.
Main job location: Warwick University, travel to Browns Lane and Castle Bromwich.
37 hours per week.
