Principal Engineer - PMST Bumper System Leader

£24 - 30 per hour + Contract Rates Apply
Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
Report to the PMST Lead Engineer Exterior Trim.
- The main role is to drive bumper system deliverables and lead solutions to cross functional issues on P786 project.
- Support the development and engineering of the bumper system.
- Drive closure of issues and establish cost/timing impact.
- Drive engineering releases through customer system.
- Support the engineering deliverables through to engineering signoff of the vehicle.
- Manage ETRS and engineering change tracker.
- Support management of both prototypes and production parts during pre-build phases.
- Degree qualified or similar qualification.
- Strong numeracy and literacy.
- Good understanding and experience of the GPDS process.
- A minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential.
- Good logical reasoning.
- Capable of leading a project element with support from more senior staff when necessary.
- Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service.
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge in a relevant technical speciality.
- Flexibility to adapt themselves to a wide variety of tasks as required.
Main job location: Warwick University.
37 hours per week.
