They are now looking for a Technical Author who can design, write, create maintain and update a variety of technical documentation the company issues to customers, prospects and internal staff.

The role will cover but not be limited to:

  • Candidates will assist in the creation of company standards for Manuals and Training Documentation.
  • Develop in-house document management, control processes and systems.
  • Primary responsibility is to produce technical documentation for technical, business, and consumer audiences.
  • Develop web based manuals, etc.

  • Candidates must have proven experience of creating documentation that is accurate, complete, unambiguous, and as concise as possible and have the ability to communicate in many ways such as: printed documentation including electronic documents in a PDF format.
  • Candidates must possess a mix of technical abilities. They may have a degree or certification in technical communications along with the ability to create, assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner.
  • Candidates will need to gather information by studying existing engineering documents, including mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings along with existing archived documentation to produce well-formed technical documents following common publishing guidelines.
  • The role of the Technical Author will be within the Engineering team and they will develop the overall documentation and generate the manuals that go with the project.
  • Candidates must have relevant computer skills and be competent in Word with the ability to manipulate graphics using AutoCAD 2D or Inventor or other systems as appropriate.
