Role
Ownership and Project management of a key value stream in the set up a new manufacturing facility defining and delivering the Machine Shop
Providing project Leadership to a cross functional team (Internal and External)
Governance of capital expenditure again the assigned value stream
Supplier Management including system selection, Supplier selection, specification through to production
Work closely with local production team to ensure seamless transfer of technical knowledge though into production and to coordinating training and ramp up activities
Liaison with Global Purchasing teams to ensure Best Practice are applied at each stage of the project
Work closely facilities site team regarding the building design and land suitability to ensure smooth
Installation of equipment
Experience
Essential characteristics for success will be a strong attention to detail and quality coupled with a deep understanding of their technical subject.
Previous experience in Cast Iron and Steel Machining:
Understanding of the market place for portal machining size components
Knowledge of Siemens Control Systems
Knowledge of metal cutting tooling market
Highly computer literate Microsoft office and Microsoft Project
Desirable:
Previous Capital Project delivery
Experience of working with multicultural teams
Chartered Engineer with Full IMechE membership
M Eng Qualification in relevant discipline
