A Project Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Dunton, Basildon, Essex.
Description
Position Description:
Working in the Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) division of Global Purchasing, the Project Engineer will provide launch support for selected new programs. The successful candidate will support the coordination of Sourcing for Quality processes, be responsible for reviewing Program parts lists and Compiling High Impact criteria, confirming Program need dates and expectations with team and preparing Program Information to support the launch.

The ability to work accurately and efficiently under time pressure. The ability to prioritise workload peaks efficiently to achieve results. Willingness to take an active and flexible role within the team. Confident manner, supported by excellent interpersonal skills. Good written and verbal communications skills. Candidates should demonstrate strong business acumen and consumer focus.
Skills Preferred:
Integrity, self-motivation and the ability to facilitate meetings as required.
Details
Experience Required:
Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes and procedures.
Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of OEM systems such as GPDS or previous purchasing experience.
Education Preferred:
Degree preferred but not essential.
