A leading supplier to the global aerospace industry. Its products and services support every major civil and military aerospace programme in the western world, from helicopters to the latest generation of commercial and military jets.
The role will entail:
Responsiblity for Supplier Quality performance for all non-American suppliers supporting the Electrical Power Systems (EPS) business.
The management of risk analyses and proactive quality improvement initiatives at key suppliers with support from other elements of the Supply Chain team will result in improved performance.
Resolution of non-conformances in a timely manner will assist in minimising risk within the Supply chain.
Initiating design changes to improve product yield and performance and drive engineering designs.
Taking a site leadership role for the Technical and Development Supply Chain teams, managing a small team to support objectives, and liaising closely with Quality Department to ensure consistency in message and to manage flow down of applicable standards.
Personal Requirements:
Experience in Aerospace Quality Management preferred.
Demonstrated problem solving skills with emphasis on Root Cause analysis.
Good interpersonal skills, and ability to apply them within an engineering / design / manufacturing environment.
Willing to travel and work from Supplier premises in pursuit of excellence.
Ability to lead by example and work within a multifunctional team.
Working knowledge of lean implementation in a low volume environment.
