Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit an IT Systems Developer to provide day to day operational support and administration to the software development team and end users. In conjunction with the IT Development team you will produce technical documentation, administering, developing and testing new and existing computer programs.
Responsibilities:
To provide day to day operational support and administration to the software development team and end users.
To contribute to the maintenance of a quality development environment with supporting tools, processes and standards.
In conjunction with the IT Development Team, producing technical documentation, administering, developing and testing new and existing computer programs.
Creating fit for purpose and user friendly applications.
Contributing to developing quality testing strategies for assigned areas of work.
Technical management and support of current productive in house developed code within an ITIL environment.
Knowledge, Skills and experience required:
Dedication and a willingness to learn new skills are essential along with good communication and organisational skills.
Excellent technical understanding of SQL 2005, SQL 2008, Microsoft Reporting Service, Visual Studio.
Good technical understanding of VB.Net, ASP Active Directory and single sign on services.
Awareness of industry standard development life cycles and best practice testing.
Assist in delivering the departments day to day operation and new projects.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Team integration and working with the other IT functions and business departments.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills (written and verbal).
Interpretation of data and actions.

Desirable:
Knowledge of SharePoint.
Appreciation of project management methodology.
Professional experience working to ITIL Best Practices.
Professional experience working with an ITIL certified Call Management System.
Good understanding or experience in ASP.NET and ASP.
Experience with C# C++ development.
