Manufacturing Project Specialist (Hot Bed)
Stafford, Staffordshire, England

The Manufacturing Engineering Project Specialist will take responsibility for the leading the technical aspects of procurement of manufacturing equipment through to implementation and production for the new Test Facility. The role will focus on capital equipment against established people, quality, velocity and cost metrics.
Ownership and Project management of a key value stream in the set up a new manufacturing facility defining and delivering the Test Facility.
Providing project Leadership to a cross functional team (Internal and External)
Governance of capital expenditure again the assigned value stream
Supplier Management including system selection, Supplier selection, specification through to production
Work closely with local production team to ensure seamless transfer of technical knowledge though into production and to coordinating training and ramp up activities
Liaison with Global Purchasing teams to ensure Best Practice are applied at each stage of the project
Work closely facilities site team in the building design and land suitability to ensure smooth installation of equipment
Essential characteristics for success will be a strong attention to detail and quality coupled with a deep understanding of their technical subject.
Previous experience in Diesel Engine Testing to include:
Understanding of engine performance characteristics
Engine emissions
Production test control systems,
Engines test cell facilities and services
Highly computer literate Microsoft office and Microsoft Project

Desirable:

Previous Capital Project delivery
Experience of working with multicultural teams
Chartered Engineer with Full IMechE membership
M Eng Qualification in relevant discipline
