We are recruiting for a Information Systems Analyst/Developer on a permanent basis, in Peterborough.

As Information Systems Analyst/Developer, you will cover global Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) manufacturing systems and are essential to ensure project / program delivery and the continuity of service to the business. The demand will continue to grow as we start the business transformation journey and this supports the implementation of a global centre of excellence around MES and the Manufacturing and Assembly / Quality space.

The responsibilities of this role are the systems analysis and software development to deliver Business Unit Pull projects to IPSD worldwide.
The successful candidates will be expected to learn on the job whilst working with the team to further develop support documentation and knowledge. They will also be required to input into root-cause analysis for recurring and high-impact incidents. Other support duties will include shop floor PC imaging, change implementations support for the UK.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Acting as lead systems analyst / developer on key business projects
* Responsible for acting as SME for key applications within portfolio
* Providing 3rd line support for manufacturing systems
* Feeding into ITIL problem processes and root-cause analysis
* Coordinating implementation of system changes
* Working as part of a team
* Work to strict time constraints to ensure project delivery

Applicants are required to have the following experience:
* Creation of project Scope documentation and project management plans/schedules
* Requirements analysis and specification creation
* Design and technical specification for system development
* Creation and execution of system testing
* Co-ordination of User testing, commissioning and rollout plans
* Liaison with in-house and external development teams
* Updating of key documentation to ensure future product supportability
* Adherence to team standards and processes
* Oracle Forms and PL SQL
* Unix scripting
* Visual Basic (6.0 and .net)

Desirable:
* ITIL, Information Technology Infrastructure Library qualification is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of Manufacturing processes
* Visual Basics Applications development experience
* Equivalent experience with the ability to work independently on application support efforts, sometimes involving multiple process-partners.
* Knowledge of controls integration solutions
* Perl scripting
* Oracle Relational Data Base Management System
