This company is part of a recognised centre of excellence in Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions, electronics systems, lighting and high integrity harness systems. A Project Manager is required to lead and manage the delivery of all aspects of an engineering development project, from concept to fulfilment of Customer requirements.

This role is based in Gloucestershire, close to the M5 and is commutable from Worcester, Gloucester, Swindon, Tewkesbury and Oxford.

Establish and maintain the way that the project will be managed and delivered. Orchestrate (create, establish and maintain) an executable plan, at all times, which ensures delivery of the customer requirement. Acquire the necessary resources and drive the delivery/execution of the Project; on time, to the right technical standard and quality (to Customers) and costs (to the business). This will include identifying and implementing any corrective actions as necessary. Manage and maintain the Customer relationship throughout the project non-recurring phase. Drive and manage the impact and flow through to the business of Project actual costs, forecast of future costs and forecast cash collection. Participate in and drive as necessary and as required any/all improvement activity which enhances the Project Management system, processes, tools and techniques.

Must have: Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a technical discipline, ideally in electronics. Minimum of 2 years experience project managing multi-discipline engineering development projects. Ability, aptitude and desire to work as a team player within a dynamic and changing positive working environment.

Ideally would have: Sound knowledge and experience of air and land military acquisition and civil aircraft acquisition processes at component and systems level. Experience from within an electronic component and system development and production business. Experience of dealing with prime contractors in aerospace and land e.g. Boeing, Airbus, BAe Systems, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics.
