THE COMPANY:

Caterpillar Articulated Trucks is located in Peterlee (County Durham). The facility"s manufacturing activities utilise the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a "state of the art" paint plant along with rigorous attention to quality. Machines are shipped from the site to customers around the world, typically used in the aggregates and mining industries.

THE ROLE:

The Applications Analyst will report to the Business Transformation Team Leader and will be providing Applications support activities in relation to Change and Service Management, supporting the various Business Transformation teams as they prepare for new business processes and the migration from a legacy system to the implementation of SAP over the next two years. They will be responsible for the documenting of IT rules and mapping processes, developing Transactional Standard work, and handling requests for systems access.

Changes will be assigned and given target closure dates, whilst incidents and requests will be managed and targeted for closure within the Service Level Agreement. They will ensure adherence to company standard processes, and all Security, ITSM and CITA best practices and timescales.


THE PERSON:

Applicants will possess significant Applications/Structured Programming experience and be well-versed in MS Access, SQL, MS Excel, MS Visio, COBOL, Project Management and Web Content Management services. They need to be logical in their approach, confident using fault-find methodologies, be customer-focussed and have excellent communication skills.
