Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
They currently have a 6 month contract opportunity for a Principal Engineer for Protections Systems for a key vehicle project.
This role is based predominantly at their site in Warwickshire, although travel overseas may be required to support the programme.
Working within the Body and Trim Engineering Department, the individual will be responsible for delivery of derivatives of a small car for the European and Indian Markets.
It covers protection systems for Bumpers, Sills, Shields, Grilles and Wheel arch liners
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have experience of the following:
- Automotive Exteriors project lead
- Protection Systems knowledge (bumpers, sills, shields, grilles, wheel arch liners)
- Experience of design for prototype
- Technical Leadership
- Self sufficient
- Able to communicate well with the customer and team in house
- Able to lead the CAD team from a technical point of view
