Based on a very attractive University campus, this Technical Centre was established in 2005  bringing together the best of European talent and expertise  in whole vehicle development . Employing 250 Engineers and Specialists it is now regarded as an engineering centre of excellence.  Over £85 million has been invested in the Centre since its foundation with plans for further with headcount growing to 350 this year and into next. Engaged in conventional IC engine and electric powered vehicle development, the Centre is located in Coventry, commutable from Birmingham, Leicester, Warwick, Milton Keynes, Northampton.

A great opportunity now exists for a  Control System Engineer to develop their career in a small team environment, working on challenging vehicle  thermal control system development utilising MATLAB/Simulink. The initial project is for a brand new small car platform with a range of new vehicles to follow. The work is autonomous and independent and offers the opportunity to develop the next generation of thermal / passenger comfort control technologies. Based in the UK there will also be the opportunity to work at the parent company in India for 10% of the time. You will be developing control algorithm models in MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow to meet functional specifications within the project timescale, designing and carrying out mode- based tests and developing processes for code generation and software version maintenance.

The remuneration package offered for this job is likely to appeal to Control System Engineers with 3 to 5 years experience in the Automotive or Aerospace industry.  To apply, candidates must be a minimum of Degree Qualified in Controls, Electronics or  Mechanical Engineering  with experience of system modeling using MATLAB/Simulink, together with knowledge of Embedded Systems and CAN. Experience of thermal systems isn't a mandatory requirement but a good understanding  of mechanical and thermodynamics principles would be a distinct advantage.
