Kent, England

A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer - Operational Support Engineer to work on process and product quality improvements within the site and support the operation in terms of providing the means and process to manufacture product to the correct quality, volume and cost.

You will also actively reduce costs of manufacture whilst maintaining product quality and volume and support the hourly needs of the operation by monitoring and responding to process output KPI's.
Working closely with operations you will ensure production output targets are sustained.
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will also ensure that all equipment used in manufacturing or assembly processes is functioning and in specification.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that all gauging equipment used in manufacturing or assembly cell is functioning, within specification and calibrated.


As the Manufacturing Engineer you will ideally hold a Mechanical Engineering Degree or 'time served' or relevant industry experience in a broad spectrum of activities.
Personal strengths should include: Customer focused, attention to detail, self confidence, goal orientated, personal initiative, good communication and team working
Experience of CNC machining and grinding and problem solving tools:- 6 Sigma and Shanin.
Must be able to work in a structured, organised manner and mindful of standard work - both as applied to the manufacturing process and in the engineers' approach to workload.
Must have the ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks at once and to work across disciplines and give support to the benefit and needs of the organisation
