Position Description:
1. Development of class leading Foundation Braking systems through vehicle based testing/evaluation (in the UK and overseas) and CAE modelling.
2. Sign-off of braking systems and generate reports to document results.
3. Lead and/or contribute to problem definition and technical resolution of Braking system issues.
4. Develop new and maintain current test procedures to exceed customer expectations.
5. Liaise with other process partners including Design, Purchase, Project Team, and Manufacturing, Electrical etc.
6. Increase the use CAE and other virtual techniques to aid application development and support the department's strategy to move away from a dependency on vehicle testing.

Skills Required:
Experience in the development of Foundation Brake systems. Above average and demonstrated driving and evaluation skills with an aptitude to develop further. Self-motivated and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision. Flexible approach and able to work beyond normal hours when required. Excellent communication skills and team working. Experience of leading issue resolution within cross-functional teams Willingness to be involved with overseas testing. Experience in CAE/modelling techniques and a willingness to learn other CAE packages. Knowledge of braking systems and/or Park Brake systems would be advantageous. Experience of Chassis, Brakes or Vehicle Dynamics development would be advantageous.

Education Required:
Candidates must be educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline.
