Transmission and Gears Design and Development Engineer (ProE CAD) Contract or Permanent - West Midlands

Pro E CAD experience is essential we our Engineering Design Team seeks an individual who is solid Pro E user.

The role is based in the West Midlands.

Ideally our client is looking for a candidate who uses AMEsim and can complete the analysis and modelling on gear shifts including NVH (Noise Vibration, Harshness). We seek an Engineer that can analyse and collect Road Load Data, create Hand and computerised calculations concerning gear design and micro geometry using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) packages.

Automotive Transmissions experience is essential however applications are encouraged from the wind turbine industry, industrial Gearing and drives or from the down-hole/offshore and aerospace (turbines) sectors too.

The key is an understanding of gearboxes and transmission systems.

Drawing Generation
Lubrication for transmissions experience
Design calculations (shaft strength / bearings / synchronisers / gears)

Matlab / Simulink / Modellica / Dymola / AVL Cruise
