Design Engineer/Estimator – West Midlands -
£25Kpa
Highly skilled in design, detailing and the ability to cost lifting equipment.
Job purpose:
To design and estimate from conceptual stage to finished design, detail activities required in support of department.
Key responsibilities:
To be responsible for producing effective new product designs to specifications defined by relevant design inputs.
To produce all necessary detailed CAD, engineering drawings to the relevant applicable standards.
To be responsible for progressing all design and development activities to agreed timings.
To assist the sales department in costing new products
Customer liaison, as required, to supportthe requirements of a project.
Qualifications:
Relevant HNC/HND qualification or proven
experience within the design sector.
Knowledge/experience:
Experience within Product Design &
Development (Engineering/Mechanical calculation bias)
Experience designing and developing
mechanisms.
Experience in the design development
process.
Specific job skills/abilities:
Computer literate eg Excel/Word and PowerPoint
Experience in using Inventor/AutoCAD (Desirable)
Ability to confidently deal with people of all levels
