Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, the individual will be responsible for the following:

- Designing new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones.
- Working with other engineers such as mechanical engineers and electrical engineers, to ensure all products and system
requirements are taken into account from the initial product conception to finished result.
- Examining and tendering for new equipment to ensure the highest quality at the best price.
- Liaising with the research and development department to ensure the company is at the forefront of ground breaking research.
- Keep up to date with current and developing trends at national and international levels in the manufacturing industry.


Essential Requirements:

- Experience of CNC machining in a precision engineering environment.
- Previous experience of RandD type activities (Rapid change environment).
- High level of CNC programming competency in Fanuc or Heidenhain languages.
- Experience of CAD CAM and verification software.
- Demonstrated capability to work in team or independently with successful, achievable results.
- You must have a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline (e.g. Manufacturing or product design)

Reporting to the Quality Manager (based at Lincoln site), the individual will be responsible for the following:
- Provide a quality engineering service to aerospace engineering and manufacturing project teams, including technical support in the identification and interpretation of company, customer and international standards/specifications.
- Provide assistance in the preparation of appropriate and adequate quality procedures and working practices, quality plans, process charts etc
- Working with the project teams to ensure that these procedures are suitable and sufficient.
- Provide a quality assurance service to the engineering and manufacturing projects through conducting internal compliance audits and supporting quality reviews with customers, arranging, implementing or responding to corrective actions as necessary, and closely monitoring these until they are closed-out
- Register and progress concession requests and to liaise with suppliers and the engineering department to ensure that concessions are reviewed, sentenced and closed out in accordance with Company procedures.
- Provide assistance to the Operations Director in the generation of quality metrics and reporting data as necessary.
- Conduct supplier quality audits as necessary in support of the purchasing function.
Experience Required

- Will have worked in the aerospace industry and be familiar with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.
- Proven experience conducting quality audits and supporting customer and third party certification audits.
- Good understanding of precision machining and processes, drawing practices, calibration, certification standards.
- Understanding of quality management tools (e.g.. 6 sigma, Pareto, Kaizen, 5Ys, 8Ds etc).
- Proven experience in the manufacture of flight hardware would be a distinct advantage.

Our client is established as a specialist in the global automotive industry. It is now looking for a Business Developer to develop sales activities primarily in a specific core competence area (eg lightweight architectures).

You will represent the company at motor shows, conferences, supplier days, exhibitions etc as part of the overall promotion of the company`s services. You will also develop and maintain a network of client relationships across engineering clients within the UK/Northern Europe, support sales campaigns and ensure client satisfaction. With regard to divisional activities you will understand and, as directed, support the implementation of the strategic business plan and support and help drive the development of new and enhanced products through RandD, partnerships and process development. Additionally, you will have marketing and product development support responsibilities and work with Account Managers to understand customers` specific requirements and Product Chief Engineers to co-ordinate sales activities.

You must have a degree in engineering or associated management qualification and client facing engineering/business development experience would be preferred in a technical/project management role. Ideally, you will be from an engineering service provision environment or with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier. You will also need to have a high level of PC skills ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint and have high level of communication skills in English. Other European languages would be an advantage.

The company is a major 1st Tier manufacturer of electro-mechanical plastic automotive systems and components to OEM`s. They are currently looking to appoint a Senior Design Engineer to fulfil design requirements from concept phase to Production intent providing necessary 2D and 3D data as well as providing design support to the core team.

Duties include:

  • Concept design for air intake manifolds and air intake systems
  • Detail design of air intake manifolds and air intake systems
  • Design of air intake system components
  • Design regarding GDandT standards
  • Design to fulfil manufacturing requirements DFM principles
  • Design to fulfil material requirements
  • Packaging investigations and determination for air intake manifolds, systems and components
  • CAD data preparation for CAE/NVH application
  • Production of detailed models/drawings to customer / National / International standards
  • Data transfer including documentation and archive
  • Execute ongoing CAD data back up
  • Support Business Development in formulating quotations providing necessary design data as required.
  • Support Product Engineer in care of system components
  • System administration tasks
  • Use effective best practice design methods and appropriate material choices - work to customer design rules/guidelines as applicable.
  • Instigate and lead VAVE improvements into realisation
  • To ensure conformance to TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures
  • Process Change control items and release 2D/3D changes

    Ideally candidates will posses:
  • Qualified to Degree level (engineering base)
  • CAD modelling experience in systems CATIA V5 - essential.   UG/IDEAS C3P/PRO E all desirable in addition
  • Automotive component design background and respective customer CAD standards
  • Know how about design methods
  • Know how about material, tooling and manufacturing specific design requirements

Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands. They require a person to assist the Buyer in sourcing a variety of products from the simple to the complex in terms of process engineering and design.
Working within the purchasing IM Vendor team focussed on parts with no known supplier source. Experience and judgement to initiate and analyse quotations to recommend suppliers and manufacturing/ assembly process to achieve order fulfilment by minimising lead times and closely monitoring delivery of timing commitments. Identification of suitable suppliers will require interrogating part history or to engineer alternative (at times innovative and creative) service solutions. Able to evaluate robustness and capability of manufacturing process to ensure compliant and cost effective product supply. Required to work directly buyers, pre-procurement, parts engineering, pricing, engineering and the planning teams to gather all required information to allow the team to make best sourcing decisions. Providing essential documentation promptly and accurately enabling Buyers to implement actions swiftly and without error. Some travel will be required within the role.
This position requires purchasing and technical /quality experience with project management skills, be prepared to consider alternative means of order fulfilment/ manufacture and an appreciation of financial/ business case evaluation. An understanding of processes and systems (GBOM, WERS, SAP) would be highly beneficial. Must be able to work effectively as part of a team or under own initiative in a pressurised environment. Must be an effective communicator and work with all levels of personnel, inside and outside of the company including frequent contact/ support on-site reviews with external supplier representatives/ management.
Engineer or Business Graduate with ability to understand technical drawings and requirements.
Education Preferred:
CIPS or studying for CIPS may be advantage

They are looking to recruit a commercial quote analyst will be responsible for the co-ordination and project management of this process including the provision of pricing / commercial analysis. This is an exciting role in a fast-moving business-wide process with accelerated development and advancement opportunities.
Management of quotations from the decision to pursue an opportunity through to the approval of the final business case including risk assessment
Project manage the cross-functional CQA to ensure the timely receipt of inputs from contributory team members
Analysis of competitors, pricing and market context towards the best positioning of a quotation
Facilitation of weekly pre-CQA meetings in which cross-functional CQA team members review all aspects of projects to be approved within the formal CQA
Engaging in product solution debates and ensuring the appropriate level of product definition is raised before distribution to team members across Europe
Assist in presentation of recommendations to heads of all functional areas in the quotation approval meeting
Analysis of full process through to customer decision, including timing and currency conversion rates
What we are looking for:
Strong ability with both complex commercial situations and numerical analysis is essential
Self-motivated, confident with high level of initiative and excellent problem solving ability
Computing skills on all Office packages especially Excel
Excellent and proven project management skills with multiple projects

Desirable
A Graduate with Business / Numerical / Engineering related degree is preferred (but is not essential)
