A new ongoing contract opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer in the Stafford area. This new position will report to the Design Manager and supports the NPI, Cost down, Localisation and Product Support functions of the business.

The Departments current core activities are to Design components and systems, which allow the Product to evolve into a functional assembly of parts and comply to the desired Product Objectives.

This is a key role to support the localisation of manufacturing by designing robust parts and systems to drawing standards, keeping the local method of manufacture firmly in mind. Quality, Part Manufacturability, Engine Assembly and Cost are a key deliverable from the Design criteria.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Design of components to company standards as well as liaising with the Purchase / PCE / Quality teams during the Design phase and beyond is essential to meet the Business targets.
* Working within a small team to deliver planned activities ranging from Design of Crankcase castings to fabricated pipe work will be in scope of the job.
* React to Mechanical validation issues in a timely manner using the failure mode analysis tools, which feeds directly into the Pre-Production Reliability Development (PPRD) quality system.
* Support to the Development function is required through FMEA attendance and component APQP reviews.
* Ensure all activities are carried out to company operating procedures and local processes to ensure compliance with Quality standards.
* Significant travel may be necessary.

Right first time knowledge would be very useful and would any first article pervious experience also.

The make up of the team is largely based around NPI and you would be reporting to the Engineering Manager; an organised personality is a must.

VP Scheduling - Scheduling Planner



Role Purpose-

To ensure the success of VP prototype schedule planning key activities related to Schedule Creation and Maintenance to support VP Build. Content Scope will cover all VP prototype scheduling activities including liaising with Program Teams.
Responsible for communication to / from the project team. Seek guidance with peers or management on issues that they cannot confidently answer.
