An Agency Assembly Production Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Bridgend.

Description
Position Description: This position is available as part of the In-Line and Diesel Engine Manufacturing group based in Bridgend Engine Plant. The role of the experienced manufacturing process engineer is to develop, design and oversee the installation of new and retooled engine assembly lines with best practices, within programme cost and in a team environment. Proven communications skills are an essential asset to be able to provide a successful launch for all parties concerned.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
A wide knowledge and experience in automotive manufacturing process engineering. A proven track record of assembly process development and project management of installations of machine tools within new and existing engine assembly lines. Proficient in discussing component design issues, reviewing and resolving potential line side issues. Qualified to examine Concern and Corrective Action Reports and track progress through appropriate engineers accordingly. Familiarity of using processing best practices and completion of projects within cost. Capability to Implement Dynamic Control Procedures leading to directives and team work to all areas under the programme umbrella i.e. suppliers, group staff engineers, line operators, management etc. Ability to facilitate all DCP actions, meetings and documentation which need reviewing/creating, (FMEA's/Control Plans/Process Flows) updating and followed through until resolved and of auditable quality. Sound knowledge of reviewing and approving of supplier data i.e. designs, timing plans to meet set targets. CONT..

Details
..Detailed experience of ergonomics, design, safety, component manufacture, work place environments and CDM regulations. Line side trouble shooting technique experience to ensure support for ramp up of production and day to day problems effecting line targets. Support simultaneous engineering teams to drive cost reductions and continuous improvement and flexibility in manufacturing tools and processes. Develop manufacturing processes that achieve Ford's stringent capability requirements.

Experience Required:
Experience in a volume manufacturing function is required.

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of Engine Test Processes would be an advantage.

Education Required:
Candidates would ideally have a relevant degree. Other recognised qualifications and experience will be considered.
