An Advanced Chassis Research Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.
Description
Position Description:
Working as part of a small research team to deliver sensing developments and technologies into advanced chassis systems. Working with Universities and suppliers to deliver state of the art sensing systems such as road preview for active suspension systems or terrain recognition and surface recognition for off-road driving.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
A knowledge of vehicle chassis systems and current developments. Experience of project management - able to lead delivery. Experience on the supplier side of component/systems engineering. Experience in microwave radar, lidar and ultrasonic sensing technologies and an appreciation of computervision.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink for modelling and rapid prototyping.
Details
Experience Required:
Three years experience of development of advanced chassis systems delivery - either from supplier side or vehicle manufacturer. Must have a full UK driving licence.
Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
Education Required:
Minimum of a first degree in Automotive/Electrical/Mechanical Eng.
