A Suspension Systems Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Position Description:
Working as part of a small research team to deliver developments and technologies into advanced suspension systems (such as active suspension and active dampers) for new vehicle programmes.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Knowledge of vehicle suspension systems and current developments in active suspension and active dampers. Experience of project management - able to lead delivery of research projects.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink for modelling and rapid prototyping of vehicle controls. Knowledge of CARMAKER CAE package.
Details
Experience Required:
Extensive experience of development of adaptive damping and suspension systems and experience of vehicle dynamics and ride and handling. Ride attribute experience, experience of suspension tuning for driver acceptability and experience in project managing delivery of component to vehicle programme.
Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and preferably hybrid vehicle architectures.
Education Required:
Minimum of a first degree in Automotive/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Additional Information:
Must have a full UK driving licence.
