Our client is a leading automotive component manufacturer of BIW components and sunroof assemblies. As Press Tooling Engineer you will be responsible for Tooling (Current and New Model introduction).

Reporting to the Engineering Manager - Stamping you will ensure smooth transition from Project stage to Mass Production and undertake control of new Press Tooling ensuring compliance within the company. You will provide additional support for a specific project, manage tooling and equipment suppliers to achieve delivery and installation requirements (QCD), plan and manage installation of tooling and equipment - this includes equipment moves; Die and Tooling accuracy improvements and build of event parts. In addition, you will support the company`s daily production activities.

Previous experience in a BIW Press Tooling environment is essential as is working knowledge of CATIA together with experience in Stamping Die / Tooling procurement and installation. You must also be capable of creating and documenting Situation and Decision Analysis reports. Additionally, you must be self-motivated with the willingness and ability to make decisions and implement change, be competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation from general associate to senior manager. Experience in risk assessment and control of contractors is desirable and you should be adaptable, flexible and possess the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines and production targets with the determination and drive to ensure quality is maintained in all aspects of role.
