Dimensional Control Engineer
Oxford, Oxfordshire, England
Our client is a leading prestige automotive manufacturer. An exciting contract opportunity has arisen within the area of Dimensional Control Engineering.
- Based in Oxford, you will be reponsible for complex analysis of geometric analysis problems within body interior and exterior trim environment with significant focus on gaps and profiles between panels.
- Liaising with cross-functional team of engineering, supplier quality and production.
- An enthusiastic person with an Engineering background preferably educated to degree level.
- A practical, hands-on person who enjoys working with cars.
- Proficient in geometric integration processes including understanding of CMM reports, cubing processes and dimensional tolerance analysis.
- Preferable (though not essential) to have good understanding of manufacturing processes in BIW and plastic injection moulding.
- Good analytical skills applied to hardware and data.
- Proficient in the use of quality tools e.g. 5 Whys, Ishikawa, SPC.
