Senior Catia Design Engineer - Sub-Frame

A successful and expanding automotive tier 1 supplier of suspension and steering components is growing its technical capability and winning major new business.
A new ongoing contract opportunity has arisen for a Senior Catia Design Engineer, specialising in sub-frame activity.
The individual will require experience in the automotive industry, along with experience of designing large sheet metal welding components, preferably sub-frames.
The Engineer should understand the pressing and welding processes as well as tolerance issues which usually come along with these parts
A good level of Catia V5 is required, as well as an understanding of the function of the subframe within the suspension (NVH and vehicle crash questions, static and dynamic stiffness requirements, definition of what is needed and why)
The individual should be willing and be able to balance out cost, weight, timing, function and quality targets.
