Our client is a world leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial passenger aircraft and business jets, as well as, a wide range of cabin interior design, reconfiguration and certification services, including the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighter use.

They are now looking for a Data Base Administrator to support the Product Data Management Engineers.

This role is based in Bedfordshire, close to the M1and is commutable from Dunstable, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton and Aylesbury.
The Role, Administrative Support of the Product Data Management (PDM) Engineering team, whose function within product life cycle management, that is responsible for the creation, management and publication of product data.

Your key responsibilities will be:

...Instigate new items / assemblies / routings within JDE / Agile / Team Centre databases from data supplied by Design Engineering
...Maintain database by implementing changes supported by recognized documentation control systems
...Work in conjunction with Customer Services, Purchasing and Finance to support customer order requests
...Have an understanding of Engineering Design procedures to support Product Data Management
...Work with accuracy in various Branch Plants within JD Edward s database
...Represent the PDM group in liaison with other areas within B/E Aerospace
...Support the PDM role with general administrative duties as necessary
...Any other reasonable duties
Working a flexible hours to suit over 39 hours per week.

Require:
...Education to a level to include 4 GCSE s relevant to the role
...Good / Accurate PC knowledge with accurate keyboard entry skills
...Have a working knowledge of Engineering Drawings and Documents
...Previous experience working with Windows based systems (word, excel etc)
...Previous work within a technical office environment
...Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills
...Using Integrated systems and MRP/ERPs
...Strong Excel and Database desired
...Communication skills ability to communicate at all levels from Operations to Management
...Ability to question, challenge and make decisions based on data and facts
...A positive can do attitude
...Working within a team to achieve departmental and business objectives

Nice to have:
...Knowledge of manufacturing, preferably within Aerospace
...Engineering background desirable
...Experience within a continuous improvement/lean culture
