Our client is the main stamping site for this multi-site manufacturer of automotive body panels for many of the world`s leading vehicle producers. The Supply Chain Senior will lead the Supply Chain Planning team to ensure all constraints are identified and managed to create robust Cellular production plans and will champion continuous improvement within the team, ensuring all reporting is robust and completed in a timely manner.

The Role: To ensure all Supply Chain position and performance reports are completed and disseminated in a timely fashion including daily, weekly and monthly KPI s and emergency escalation. You will also initiate and lead all improvements through the planning team including root cause analysis, proactive improvements and material flow using modern Supply Chain techniques. You will lead and develop the Cell Planning team through vision, motivation and support to deliver better business outcomes. Additionally, you will lead IRA and PI activities through Cell team and warehouse personnel, lead Change Management/New Part Introduction through the Cell Planning team and ensure ERP system integrity for all aspects of component management eg Item Planning Data, Sales Order Maintenance, Forecast maintenance etc. Other responsibilities will include ensuring the ERP system is updated with customer data to a high level of accuracy eg Manual/automated schedule import, CUM management etc and the setting-up of supply chain ERP system processes during activity such as new part introduction, sub-con creation/update etc.

You will have 3+ years experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment, leadership experience of a supply chain team in a fast paced manufacturing environment, be able to perform to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail to maintain reporting accuracy, be able to remain analytical and make sound business decisions in a fast moving and high pressure environment while disseminating clear plans and reports to seniors and subordinates within the business. You will also need root cause analysis skills (8D, PPS etc), have improvement implementation experience, a good mathematical aptitude, be a team player who is articulate in both verbal and written communications and also have a high level of proficiency when using office programmes such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. Additionally, you will need experience of using MFG-Pro or other similar ERP system driving MRP works order output and other general operational functions and reporting together with experience managing supply chain systems using techniques such as JIT, Kanban, 5S.
