Field Technical Support Manager (Electric Vehicles)

Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles. The role of Field Technical Support Manager will require frequent and extensive travel throughout the UK and Ireland and may require upto 75% of time to be field based with the potential for a significant amount of overnight stays away from base.
The role of Field Technical Support Manager is predominantly a field based role to provide technical support to franchised repairers and fleet customers. The key objective is to diagnose and lead the resolution of vehicle problems in the field in pressurised circumstances. You must be capable of delivering extraordinary customer satisfaction and must be prepared to operate independently and take decisions in the field to achieve VSandM objectives.
You will have a degree in Automotive Engineering or be a qualified automotive apprentice with many years of experience and team leadership qualities. You must also have experience of providing technical support in an automotive OEM.
