A CAE Analyst is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
Position Description:
Develop Climate systems using CFD CAE analysis to provide system performance predictions for new programmes. Will be working closely with CCS CAE Engineers and provide update on the progress of the project on a day to day basis to the CCS CAE Technical Specialist. Work will entail modelling the defrost and ventilation duct systems along with the interior cabin performance. Liaising with IP and Console Engineers to provide feedback on the system and to drive the system design. Evaluate ducting system and their affects on the overall Climate system performance. Selected Engineer will need to work interactively with the team in the UK and will work onsite. Should be completing given tasks in agreed time and to required quality.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Good understanding and experience of CAE analysis techniques applied to the automotive industry. Experience of CFD and CAE analysis. Experience in use of CFD code STARCCM+ and meshing tool Hypermesh. Experience of building 'closed volume' meshes for CFD analysis. Experience in Climate Control Systems related to defrost/ventilation duct analysis. Successful delivery of project work on vehicle programmes. Proven record in CAE analysis in the automotive industry. Working knowledge of project delivery processes. Good report writing skills for CAE reports to support project milestones. Experience in use of MS Office for report writing and presentation of results. Candidate would be expected to work to tight project time lines to support the programme teams.

Skills Preferred:
Good communication skills - both written and spoken is essential.

Details
Experience Required:
Experience in the use of CFD modelling codes and fluid flow and thermal analysis. Expertise with CFD modelling codes is expected and experience in the STARCCM+ code is a must. Knowledge of Climate control systems in terms of HVAC ducting and interior cabin performance OEM Procedures/Methodologies preferred.

Experience Preferred:
Familiarity and experience of OEM working practices relating to CAE methods and processes. Familiarity and experience of CAD, TCE & Digibuck. Familiarity of OEM IT system.

Education Required:
Educated to a minimum of degree level in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical subject.
