Client has been established as a specialist in the global automotive industry, both as a successful manufacturer of sports cars and as a leading engineering consultancy for vehicle manufacturers and suppliers.
As Industrial Engineer your main purpose will be to perform time study and continuous improvement activities within all areas of Manufacturing on current and new models. The role is expected to self finance within the improvements made.
Key duties will include:
- Timing of all activities within the Production system for all models.
- Recording new timings within the database systems
- Working with Production supervision to prove out new timings.
- Assignment re-balancing
- Suggesting and implementing revised methods of working including flow processes, fixturing, tooling and layout
- Support of current Manufacturing Engineers with new model introductions
- Problem solving within the manufacturing areas
- To cover all aspects of a Manufacturing Engineer on an as required basis.
Ideal Industrial Engineers would be HNC / ONC in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and have previous Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Candidates must be proactive and have excellent attention to detail as well as strong skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.
A small amount of domestic and overseas travel could be required to support improvement ideas.
