An excellent opportunity for a Electronics Production Engineer - Alternate Test Equipment, working in the West Midlands area for a leading aerospace supplier of electronic fuel control systems.
This role is based in the West Midlands, close to the M42 and is commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Redditch and Warwick.
To design/develop hardware and software required for testing boards in aerospace products.
The work covers all aspects of board test development, from processing of board CAD for testability, design-for-test schematic and layout reviews, fixturing design, program development, in-system device programming, test system commissioning, test process validation, operator training, liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers.
You will be expected to manage board test equipment requirements for electronics products at various stages of their lifecycle.
Test program development, validation and release and technical support to production.
Requirements:

Electronics production background, with board testability analysis and device programming (JTAG). Ability to fault find electronics assemblies to component level. A health and Safety awareness. Six sigma analysis, use of Fabmaster, and C programming are desirable. Ability to analyse ATE program and fixturing problems relating to complex electronic boards

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively within engineering team and with external suppliers. Team player and able to work under own initiative. Drive to achieve positive results. Capable of producing professional engineering reports. Creative/ systematic approach to problem solving, assessment /management of risk. Software development experience specifically for ATE test systems development.
