A CAE Simulation Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Description
Position Description:
CAE Simulation Group provides support to analytical teams in lieu of vehicle programs. Functional Simulation is based around the MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow Modelling Framework. Support the Functional Simulation Analysis assisting the delivery of Vehicle Attributes, Features, Calibration and problem resolution. Support the development of the pre-program Concept Simulation.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Strong analytical capability, including different methodologies and disciplined approach to data and model management. Able to communicate complex technical concepts. Appreciation of Desktop Controls System Simulation Modelling, Software in the Loop and Hardware in the Loop. Able to identify and respond to the strengths and limitation of computer-based modelling and simulation.
Skills Preferred:
Use of a range of offline and Real Time Simulation tools for automotive design development and verification. Microsoft Project/Excel. Planning and project management & ability to lead a matrix expert technical team to resolve issues.

Experience Required:
Application of industry-standard system modelling toolset (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink/StateFlow, CARMAKER, DYMOLA, GT). Knowledge of dynamic systems behaviour and standards. Model Correlation/Validation Methods. Delivery of engineering projects using Simulation preferably in automotive attribute or vehicle CAE team. Good interpersonal, presentation, project management and organisational skills are required.
Experience Preferred:
Useful knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical and Control System Interactions.
Education Required:
Engineering degree or related qualification.
Education Preferred:
CAE experienced.
