Our client is a world leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial passenger aircraft and business jets, as well as, a wide range of cabin interior design, reconfiguration and certification services, including the conversion of passenger aircraft to freighter use.
To cost purchased and manufactured parts for customer quotations / business requirements, in an accurate and timely manner; whilst maintaining the integrity of the Engineering Databases (Agile and Teamcenter)to enable item / assembly production through JD Edwards ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
The suitable candidate will have a good engineering / purchasing administration background gained in a low to medium volume manufacturing environment. This will include;
Create new items / assemblies / routings / BoMs within JDE / Agile / Team Centre databases from data supplied by Design Engineering incorporating the latest knowledge of current machines, technology, set-up and run processes and timings
Maintain databases by implementing changes supported by recognized documentation control systems.
Estimate parts with appropriate challenge and feedback to internal stakeholders in a timely manner to meet end customer requirements
Work in conjunction with Sales, Customer Services, Program Management, Purchasing and Finance to support customer order / quotation requests to tight and aggressive deadlines in a dynamic cost estimating environment.
Understand Engineering Design procedures to support Product Data Management
Identify and execute continuous improvements in the commercial engineering processes.
