A major motorsport team requires a Production Planner to support the aero production function with daily activities to ensure the delivery of aerodynamic and project parts to plan.

The role will include internal and external procurement, supplier management and cost reporting.

The Production Planner will also have responsibility for:

Agreeing operational timelines from CAD release to wind tunnel;

Sourcing all parts (internal/external) for model development and special projects and progressing them through the business;

Providing daily feedback on progress and escalate any project risk with possible resolutions;

Attend relevant project, production and aero meetings providing input and feedback;

Maintain department data, logs and produce weekly metric information;

Manage the delivery of full scale components for both mock-up and track requirements ensuring system/process compliance;

Manage engineering and customer projects from inception through to delivery;

Ensure aero ER and SAP is updated to reflect current status;

Help develop current aero planning and production processes and procedures;

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to establish best practice, improve delivery whilst maintaining quality.

The successful candidate will have time served in a fast moving engineering production control environment with specific skills and knowledge of production control and purchasing.

Experience of working with SAP, Catia, MS Office including Project, would be an advantage.

A good understanding of car or model assembly/structures would also be useful.

Flexibility in hours and approach is required as is the ability to work under minimal supervision, to strict deadlines.
