Stress Engineer

Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of complex mechanical systems for aerospace applications. 2 new opportunities exist for permanent Stress Engineers to be based in the West Midlands. These roles are commutable of Birmingham, Telford, Birmingham and Stafford.
You will carry out hand calculations and also FE analysis of precision mechanical components such as shafts, gears and bearings. You will contribute to the compilation of test schedules.
You will have FE and hand calculations experience, preferably but not essentially in aerospace. It is desirable but not essential that you have Ansys, Mathcad, Solidworks or NX. A knowledge of aerospace materials and their static and fatigue properties is desirable. You will be degree qualified and be fully entitled to work in the UK.
