We are recruiting for a 6-Sigma Black Belt / Bill of Materials Engineer on a 24-month fixed term contract based in Wolverhampton.
This stand alone 6-Sigma Black Belt/ Bill of Materials Engineer position has no direct reports although will involve coordination / liaising with other internal departments.
Key role activities include:
* Create Purchase Bill of Material on AS400 from Engineering BOM
* Update and amend Bills of Materials in AS400
* Maintain create/change log for traceability
* Audit Purchase Bills of Materials
* Identity new parts, parts that are not currently purchased and liaise with Buyers to obtain current costs
* Administer drawing Changes through modification notes and record activities
* Support data in the DCC cost tracker model ensure false pull is generated to data for cost tracker
* Create Purchase Bill of Material in CBS from Engineering BOM
* Update and amend Bills of Materials in CBS
* Create Item master data for CBS
* Create extended view in CBS min, max, multiples
* Administer drawing changes in CBS through Engineering Change Notice
* Develop cost analysis data as required to support LCC and India sourcing
All applicants must have extensive experience from with supply chain in an engineering discipline. Technical knowledge (engineering drawings), IT, gears etc is also essential.
