Equipment Specialist

Description
Our client are looking for an equipment expert to oversee & supervise the implementation of their equipment.

Essential experience/areas of competence required:
-Knowledge of dry-form manufacturing process
-Containment
-Compression & tablet-coating

Job Requirements
Description of expected activities:

Design
Develop & update specifications for the following equipment:
•V-blender
•CIP ancillary equipment NEP
•Bag-loading station
•Improve blender-unloading process by introducing containment
•New purified water tank

Improvement studies:
•Replacement of handling equipment & müller drums with container & new lifting equipment
•LPA: new manufacturing tank 3000 l
•LPA: modification of ointment-manufacturing equipment

Procurement
•Review supplier tenders
•Facilitation of negotiation meetings
•Make technical/commercial recommendations
•Update contract documents
•Supervise ordering process

Factory Implementation
•Proofread/document review of studies developed by the suppliers (functional analysis, plans and diagrams, data sheets, calculations)
•Factory Inspections
•Management of interface between suppliers (equipment and infrastructure)
•Preparation of FAT

Details
Installation/hook-up/commissioning
•Supervise unloading, installation and hook-up of the equipment
•Monitor static compliance of equipment before testing (with assistance by third party for all controls re electrical work)
•Monitor compliance with "quality" and "security" standards of supplier's technicians during work on site

SAT/IQ/OQ
•Proofread IQ / OQ protocols. Collate comments sent to suppliers
•Manage SAT tests and IQ / OQ (protocols processed by equipment suppliers working with GSK BOU team)
•Manage the supply of materials and packaging items for testing
•Assist in critical testing with suppliers
•Write a SAT report
•Review technical documentation from supplier(s)
•Finalise equipment handover report & obtain approval (project to production)
•Control shipping & receipt of machine spare parts for maintenance
•Assist maintenance team to establish maintenance schedule

Please note this position requires frequent travel to Algeria.
