Contract Automotive Electrical Engineer
Swindon, Wiltshire, England
£30 - 35 per hour + Competitive market rate
Our client, one of the most successful vehicle manufacturers in the UK and is looking for 2 electrical engineers to provide technical capability for development, production and quality of automotive parts/systems.
* Design and development of electrical parts including electrical distribution, lighting, ICE, Navigation, Security systems, safety systems
*Cost, weight and technical feasibility analysis
*Drawing creation, modification, check and release
*Localised parts development and maturation
*Competitor parts analysis
*Confirmation of SPEC test reports and analysis of internal test results
*Market quality concern investigation and countermeasure instigation
*Monitor and research, industry trends of new electrical and IT technology
Ability to direct and oversee electrical system and part development
Research skills with ability to report information relating to electrical
Knowledge of telematics and connectivity useful
CAD experience (CATIA V5 usage) preferable
previous automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience is desirable
Competence in Japanese or a European language is desirable but not essential
Occasional overseas travel will be required
