Controlled Power Technologies (CPT) was established in 2007 to acquire and take to market a family of CO2 reducing automotive Powertrain products developed by a global tier 1 supplier. Following market success this leading edge engineering Company based in Basildon and Coventry is now strengthening its experienced team to continue to build on the growing success of CPT, particularly with the preparation of its modular hybrid products for a number of customer applications in Europe and US through to production launch.

The role of Hybrid Product Group Manager is a key senior role in the small, experienced, professional and highly motivated management team driving the activity of this high technology automotive supplier. To be successful in this dynamic environment you must be confident and ready to be hands on in all aspects of Product Development and comfortable interfacing with customers at all levels.
Initially focusing on product validation, launch readiness and customer support, you will continue to build the capability of the established SpeedStart engineering team and work with other internal and external resources to achieve market success for the SpeedStart product. The scale of the role is expected to increase significantly with increasing market activity during the next 1-2 years.

Candidates should possess a good degree in a relevant discipline (mechanical or electrical engineering, etc.) and preferably a masters degree, combined with practical application experience of engine and/or hybrid driveline systems and/or relevant electric machines is essential, potentially with a tier 1 supplier or premium powertrain consultancy. Total fluency in written and spoken English is also essential, with capabilities in additional languages an advantage. In depth experience of Automotive standards of project management and quality systems, including production launch, is highly desirable, as is a minimum of 2 years of staff management and budgetary responsibility. Strong communication skills are essential and you should be comfortable at all levels with customers and partners.
