Having secured over 250Million worth of orders already this year in the power generation and utility sectors, our client is undergoing major expansion in the West Midlands and a number of new Project Engineers and Lead Engineers are required to support this growth.
The new engineers are required to join the power systems division of this global group pf companies at their centre of excellent in the West Midlands. Minimumo of 5 years experience is required in the management of design teams in the development of control and protection schemes in accordance with established UK and relevant DNO stanfards and processes. It is essential that the successful engineers can provide technical expertise for applications involving 11kV to 132kV substation projects. Additional duties will include:

  • Provide technical support in scope clarification and answering technical questions
  • Develop work breakdown structures for project plans, technical specifications, Single Line Diagrams, protection relay quantities and additionally provide time and cost estimates.
  • Assist tendering by passing on experience gained and lessons learnt from previous deliveries.
  • Review contract documentation and highlight any design issues pre tender stage and again at contract award stage. The successfull candidates will be enthusiastic and committed providing high quality support to all other disciplines, working closely within a team of dedicated professionals. Minimum qualificationa are HNC/D in electrical engineering or equivalent. A knowedge of LV, MV and HV Electrical Installations is essential.
